The MFR-2200 Series Soldering and Reworks Systems provide a high power, flexible solution for production soldering, touch-up soldering and SMD rework. SmartHeatŪ responds to the load, delivering the energy required for each connection, while protecting sensitive components and substrates from damage. With SmartHeatŪ Technology, users are assured of highly responsive and controlled heating.

The MFR-2200 series features dual output capability which allows the user to selct operations of one handpiece or two hand-pieces simultaneously. One or two hand-piece operation is easily chosen via a front panel switch. Most importantly, the MFR-2200 contains two separate power supplies. This means that full power is available for each hand-piece that is in use.

Multiple Hand-pieces Increase Flexibility
The MFR-2200 Series has three hand-pieces that can be used with the system. The MFR-H1-SC Cartridge Hand-piece offers a comprehensive range of the soldering and rework cartridges, similar to our popular Metcal range, that provide fine-access soldering tips, SMD rework tips and pad clean-up blade tips. A hand-piece for production soldering, MFR-H2-ST, features high power and tips designed for productions soldering environments. A third option for the system is the MFR-H4-TW Precision Tweezers Hand-piece. This hand-piece is ideal for SMD removal of 0201 resistors to 28mm long SOIC

The PS-900 increases productivity by performing a wide range of applications. It is suited for lead-free soldering processes, multilayer boards and thermally demanding components. What's more, SmartHeatŪ Technology enables the PS900 to solder at lower temperatures, even for such demanding applications as lead-free soldering processes. This means operators are more productive and materials are safe form damaging temperatures.

PCT-100 Focused Convection Preheater | PCT-1000 Programmable Preheater

Preheating is process that delivers heat energy to the board in order to reduce overall temperature needed for the primary heating operation i.e, soldering. Especially for high mass boards, preheating to 80°C for FR4 and 120°C fro ceramic can significantly improve the speed of the BGA pad clean-up process.

OK International offers both the low-cost PCT-100 Focused Convection Preheater, and the more sophisticated PCT-1000 Programmable Preheater. The PCT-100 requires the use of a hand-held meter attached to a thermocouple to determine the settings needed to achieve the desired temperature at board level. The PCT-1000 has external thermocouple input to monitor or even control heating at the board level. Each preheater can be set, to achieve the desired temperature, by placing a thermocouple on the underside of the board and in the path of air flow.

Clean the pads
Once preheating is initiated, the operator places the copper braid over the pads to be cleaned. Using the appropriately sized blade tip, it is pushed forward across the previously leveled pads.

Compact Production Soldering System

Designed to be the perfect, compact system for repetitive manual soldering and touch-up. The PS-800E Soldering System features an innovative, compact power supply with a small footprint which is ideal for production environments. The system combines the power and superior process control advantages of SmartHeatŪ, with the system quality and innovative design of OK International irons. In additions, the PS-800E Soldering System utilizing SmartHeatŪ Technology requires no calibration.

Cost of Ownership
The PS-800E Soldering System uses replaceable heater tips rather than cartridges, with the cost being comparable to convectional tips, making cost of ownership competitive. The unique two-pieces design separates the induction coil from the heater tip. The long-life induction coil remains in the handle, whole replaceable heater tips are easily removed and replaced.

You can choose between two types of coil assembly. The PS-CA2 is designed for heavy loads and can be used with a comprehensive line of thermally optimized, large diameter and high power soldering tip geometries (SFV series). The PS-CA1 is ideal for light to medium loads and comes with a series of fine and small diameter tips (PHT series). Both series of tips include an additional iron plating for longer life.

PS-800E Soldering System is perfect for lead-free soldering

The most important technical challenge of lead-free hand soldering is being able to solder heat sensitive components at 215-200°C, without causing damage. This requires a soldering iron that can respond to the thermal energy demands of the application and deliver the correct amount of energy to the joint without overshoot that can cause damage.

OK international PS-800E Soldering System is perfect for lead-free soldering. SmartHeatŪ Technology allows the higher thermal performance requirements of lead-free alloys to be met without increasing the tip temperature. Thus, the risk of thermal damage is eliminated.

The PS-800E Soldering System allows operators to produce high quality product quickly, easily and safety. It is reliable, hassle-free production tool that can be used to solder lead-free PCBs immediately without needing to be continually re-calibrated to meet higher temperature requirement like traditional technologies.

BVX-100 Series Fume Extractions Systems
Powerful, Portable Fume Extraction

OK International's BVX-100 Series Fume Extraction Systems are powerful, but low noise units that need no external ducting or compressor. Simply move these lightweight systems from station to station, plug them in and switch these on for instant fume extraction. Just 279mm (11") tall, with a 305mm x 229mm (12" x 9") plenum chamber, the units easily fir on any bench-top or, when space is at a premium, take advantage of the under-bench mounting bracket.

Rated at 85-Watts, the systems deliver high quantity filtration without compromise. A powerful 85m3/hr airflow rate provides immediate extraction of fumes, particles and vapors from operator breathing areas. When a larger capture range is needed, an innovative adaptor quickly transforms the plenum into an arm extraction system.

Two filtration configurations are available for heavy soldering and light dust applications, or light duty organic solvent and adhesive applications. A bi-coloured LED light indicated when the filters are blocked and require replacing.
